Greetings, Tenno! If you’ve been following Warframe news at all for the past few weeks — perhaps via one of our Devstreams or just here on the website — you’ve probably at least heard of TennoCon by now. To many players, and certainly to us here at Digital Extremes, this yearly celebration has become as integral to the world of Warframe as the Lotus and the Grineer.

Which is why it’s easy to forget that every TennoCon might be someone’s first TennoCon. So, we wanted to provide this quick primer on what the show is and does: both for all of us here at Digital Extremes and, most importantly, for you the players.

TennoCon is a yearly in-person and digital convention hosted in London, Ontario: home of Digital Extremes and the birthplace of Warframe. The all-day celebration includes a series of panels (where the developers discuss their craft), giveaways, activities and opportunities for the community to come together and hang out. All of which culminate with our annual closing ceremony, TennoLive, where the creative leads of Warframe typically reveal and showcase upcoming major updates for the game.

Even if you’re not attending in-person, you can partake in the infectious annual energy from home by watching TennoCon 2024 live on Twitch, YouTube or Steam. It'll be worth your while, too. At each TennoCon, we offer special rewards to viewers who watch the show live. This year you can link your Warframe and Twitch accounts to receive a free Saryn Prime. Watching TennoLive will further net you the exclusive AX-52 Rifle, signature weapon of Arthur, star of Warframe: 1999.

And don’t worry if you have a physical ticket! Players who attend the show in Ontario will also receive these rewards for attending the show on location.

TennoCon isn’t just about the drops, either. Warframe:1999, The Plains of Eidolon, Railjack, Heart of Deimos, The New War, Duviri: all these and more were announced at TennoCon. Some first received demos at TennoLive, but others were teased even earlier at the many wonderful behind-the-scenes panels. You never know what secrets and insight the team might reveal or when!

Even more than that, TennoCon is about camaraderie. “Tenno” refers to the central characters of Warframe, yes, but it’s also how we refer to our amazing players. Whether it means giving you a chance to meet and spend time with friends in-person in Ontario, or it’s a once-in-a-lifetime event held in Warframe itself, TennoCon is first and foremost our way of showing that we are all one massive, diverse and talented community that reaches far beyond our wildest dreams.

From Cosplay Contests to photo opportunities, from the Relay Events of years past to commemorative merch, there are tons of ways to be a part of the TennoCon experience. In fact, just by playing and being a Tenno, you already are.
