With the launch of Warframe: 1999 drawing ever closer, Devstream 182 gave us our closest look yet at the Origin System's upcoming "new era". For your convenience, we've recapped the biggest beats for you below, complete with links to further details.

Our biggest update of the 20th century arrives this December when Warframe: 1999 launches on all platforms! Make sure you're up-to-date on everything we've revealed so far by visiting the official Warframe: 1999 website. Get your account ready and check out our official Quest Guide to ensure that you'll be able to jump straight into the action on launch day!

If you can't wait until then and need a taste of 1999 to hold you over, you can log in right now and try your hand at our playable demo. Get a feel for Arthur's Weaponry and turbo-charged Atomicycle as you battle Scaldra through the streets of Hӧllvania.

Calendar Seasons System

1999 will utilize a new playable Calendar system similar to The Circuit in Duviri, but themed according to 4 changing Seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Each week in 1999 will represent a new "Season," and gameplay will vary.

Technocyte Coda Deep Dive

As with the Grineer and Corpus before them, the Infestation will enjoy its own Adversary system when 1999 launches, called the "Technocyte Coda." Noticeably different from Kuva Liches and Sisters of Parvos, the Technocyte Coda system will nonetheless enable Tenno to earn a new suite of ultra-powerful Infested Weaponry.

Gemini Series Skins: Amir, Lettie

During TennoCon 2024, we revealed Arthur's transforming Gemini Series Skin and watched him morph in real-time from Protoframe to Warframe. Now we have two more transforming Skins to tempt you with: those of Lettie (Trinity) and Amir (Volt)!

New Atomicycle, Drifter Customizations

Your Atomicycle will be more than just a means of traversing Hӧllvania – it also marks a whole new platform for Fashion Framing! Customize your ride with 11 different Skins and embrace the need for speed.

You'll be able to personalize your Drifter, as well! Give them an athletic, military, Y2K, or goth aesthetic thanks to a broad new suite of Customization options.

Comic Book Cover Revealed

Created in partnership with community artist Karu, our long-awaited Protoframe webcomic will be available in mid-November!

The Line Animation Studios Teaser

The Line Animation Studios has entered the final week of production on our upcoming 1999-inspired anime short! The promotional still below gives an idea of the final, grim look that the studio is aiming for once the completed animation is released later this year.

Trinity Light Rework

A light touch-up to Trinity's Abilities bolsters her power in advance of Warframe: 1999! We focused especially on Ability durations and Well of Life, while replacing her Passive entirely. Watch for further changes to Nyx, which we'll announce as part of our November Devstream.
