The Remote Observer: Vol 67

Welcome to issue 67 of The Remote Observer, Tenno! We are rapidly approaching the year anniversary of the release of Warframe on the Nintendo Switch™ and as always, our team has been working hard on performance and quality of life improvements! Want to know more? Read below!

NINTENDO SWITCH™ PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS!

The Nintendo Switch™ has seen a lot of updates, and while you will see the usual bounty of content, fixes and quality of life changes included in Update 25.4.0, we also wanted to let you know about some of the performance improvements we have been making. In short, the following changes were made to better improve the quality of your Nintendo Switch™ Warframe experience!

  • PLUGGING LEAKS! - We added a fix for a long-term memory leak, which had been causing performance issues from cloth and non-gpu particle processing!

  • TRIMMING DOWN! - We have reduced the amount of system memory being used significantly, and as a result you should see further performance increases!

  • MORE TO COME! - We are still committed to finding further performance increases, and our team is working vigilantly on squeezing every bit of speed out of the system.

The download size for the latest Warframe update will be around 1.20GB, and will be available soon™!

DEV WORKSHOP: AUGMENT ANALYSIS!

As Warframe changes and adapts over the years, certain aspects of the game need to be revisited to make sure they are up to date. In this case, the dev team are looking at Augments! As per the Dev Workshop forum post, you can see that we have been addressing many of the little-used Augments, and trying to find ways to make them more appealing!

Please be aware that while these are proposed changes, some of the numbers may shift, and functionality may alter, depending on how the testing stage goes! If you have any suggestions, please make sure to leave precise, constructive feedback in what you would like to see on that same forum post!

BOB THE BURSA: CAN. HE. FIX. STUFF?!

Well… no. Bursas stomp around and shoot things, but our team is hard at work, getting fixes, quality of life changes and other new content into Warframe! This week on PC, we saw some of the following fixes!

  • WALL FIXATIONS - AI have been instructed to no longer examine the walls for flaws when reaching a dead end. Patrols will resume! Get your papers ready!

  • NIGHTWAVE SCORECARD - A fix was put in place for some Nightwave Acts resetting their progress or not tracking correctly. Get those goodies, Dreamers!

  • KILL COUNT - Several fixes made so that non-player controlled allies (such as Revenants thralls, or Equinox’s spawned doppelganger), will now count towards kills in Rathuum and the Index, including when operators are out and about!

  • PEACHY KNELL’BA - Knell will no longer force a reload even when a headshot is scored! Right between the eyes, Tenno!

  • RAZORWING SHUFFLE - Titania will now move correctly when using Razorwing in the Sanctuary. Slow movement is inefficient, Hunter.

  • HOT QUATZ - Several fixes for our latest additional secondary weapon, the Quatz has seen some improvements, including the clip ejecting in the right direction, the sounds playing twice on clients, and the VFX and damage not displaying with a skin equipped. Shocking!

  • SNUG FIT FOR GOOD BOYE - Made some changes to the Amphatz and Sloughi Kubrow armors for those ‘chonkier’ best friends.

  • GLINTY FASHION - Fixed an issue where K-Drive Jets were not applying color customizations! Now you can zip across Fortuna in a stream of whatever nauseating shade of color you can dream of! Chek Chek!

Thanks for stopping by this latest episode of Remote Observer, and don’t hesitate to drop by our Official Forums if you want to see more discussions!
