Welcome to issue 74 of The Remote Observer, Tenno! We’re back, and we are hard at work after a Holiday break! This week, we saw the release of our first Hotfix of the decade (arguably) and we are pushing hard to get those fixes out to the Console players ASAP! Let’s get into the meat of what’s been released, and what’s coming for our Console Tenno!
Over the Holiday Break, we received and found a whole list of issues, bugs and feature requests from the community, and we have started the process of bringing those features and fixes to you with Update 27.0.9 released yesterday on PC. For the full list of fixes, you should read the patch notes, but here are a couple highlights for you check out:
FIGHTING FIGHTERS - The armor levels and health have been balanced out for enemy Fighters. The intention is that Railjack guns should be more effective without needing a boost from Warframe Abilities (which has now been removed). Fighters now have much less armor, and a small boost in health to compensate.
BATTLE AVIONICS AND YOU - There was a lot of feedback on the drop rates of Battle Avionics, and so we have made sure that not only they drop from Elite Enemies, but also we have added markers so you will never lose track of one in the vastness of space.
MORE ASTERITE - We have doubled the drop chance of Asterite! On top of that, we have also doubled the chance of dropping wreckage at the end of a mission!
WHAT CHU DOIN’? - We have added a UI element that allows you to see at a glance what your crewmembers are doing. Not sure who’s manning the guns? Just take a look at the UI!
There are a whole swathe of other fixes and changes, from weapon rebalancing, fixing script errors, fixes to the Shedu, and all the way to fixing Wisp’s melee walking animations to now be in-line with her floating! Check out the PC Update 27.0.9 thread for all the juicy deets!
On top of balance passes and fixes on the current content, we are also still working hard on the future of Empyrean, including the addition of the Command Intrinsic, Modular Archwings, new weapons, tilesets and further developments in The New War.
We wanted to highlight some of the reasoning behind the changes in Rush Repair Drones. You may wonder why we didn’t reduce the costs of certain items and instead increased the drop chance of resources. The fact is that there is no graceful way to change the resource costs of items in progress, or these specific items that have been put into production.
In the end it boils down to changing a whole host of individualized database entries vs. making the resources needed to build those items easier to acquire. In the end, the decision was made to go for the latter, although the end goal is to be effectively the same. Further balancing will occur as people continue to play the update, so make sure you continue to leave your feedback on our Official Forums.
The Nintendo™ Switch build has been submitted to cert, and we are patiently awaiting the results! We understand our Nintenno community has been very patient in waiting for this release, and as a thank you, you are going to receive a 7-Day Credit booster to help get up to date with building a Railjack and taking to the stars!
Thanks for stopping by this latest episode of Remote Observer, and don’t hesitate to drop by our Official Forums if you want to see more discussions, and be sure you stay tuned to our Twitter Feed for immediate updates!
