Get ready for a host of changes and improvements to the Origin System in the first mainline update since last year’s debut of The New War! Update 31.1: Echoes of War introduces replayability to this epic, cinematic Quest, as well as QOL changes, new Customizations, and much more. Be sure to check out our Patch Notes and Devstream 159 Overview for additional details.
For the first time since The New War launched in December, you can now go back and replay Warframe’s biggest cinematic Quest by accessing it from your Codex! This feature allows you to experience your favorite moments all over again and push deeper into any areas left unexplored during your initial run. You’ll also be able to remake decisions and choose alternate interactions, but be advised that these new choices will not impact your game post-New War – the outcomes from your first playthrough will still stand.
The New War features unique playable characters, epic Missions, and a new Sentient-Warframe hybrid named Caliban. Acquire his component Blueprints in-game to wield his overwhelming offensive Abilities and adapt to any battlefield.
Whether you’re deploying to the frontlines for the first time, or reliving your favorite moments, The New War Supporter Packs can give your Arsenal a stylish aesthetic makeover. For a limited time, enjoy up to 30% off evolving Armor, Warframe Skins and other exciting Customizations that feature a menacing new Sentient look! Update 31.1 introduces a new Quality of Life change designed to reduce the amount of time spent generating Progenitors (Kuva Larvlings or Sister Candidates) in search of a particular Kuva or Tenet weapon.
How it works:
When you encounter a Progenitor with unwanted Weapons and opt not to mercy them, their spawned weapon is then added into a ‘reject pile’ until you go ahead and spawn an Adversary. This means that unwanted Weapons will no longer re-appear, ultimately reducing the weapon pool each time you ‘reject’ a Progenitor’s Weapon.
With this change, you’ll spend less time spawning new Progenitors, and more time blasting through foes with the powerful Kuva and Tenet Weapons of your choice!
Save up your Syndicate standing and give your favorite Warframes an edge in battle with powerful new Augments:
Frost: Biting Frost (Passive)
Frost gains 200% Critical Chance and 200% Critical Damage against frozen enemies.
Gauss: Thermal Transfer (Thermal Sunder)
Allies in range gain 75% bonus Elemental Damage for 30s.
Grendel: Gourmand (Feast)
Instead of Energy, consumes 200 Health on cast and 30 Health Drain.
Yareli: Surging Blades (Aquablades)
Press 3 to hurl a single Aquablade, which gains 10% damage per enemy hit by your Aquablades. No cost to throw while riding Merulina.
Customize your Clan’s home base with two new Dojo Rooms, the Earth Forest Chamber and Uranus Chamber, and enjoy 100 newly-added Grineer Forest and Ocean themed Decorations, including water pumps, turbine blades, and more. Get creative and turn your Dojo into an artistic masterpiece!
Three new Somachord Tones have been added to the post-New War Plains of Eidolon and Orb Vallis, featuring some of the Quest’s most-coveted musical tracks. Find them so you can re-listen whenever you’d like in your Orbiter’s Personal Quarters! Unlike the original Orb Vallis Somachord Tones, these are stationary and can always be found in the same spot.
New Tones include:
- “For Narmer”
- “Hybrid Abominations”
- “Sunkiller”
The New War Somachord Tones will arrive in the next update for consoles, Tenno!
