Syndicates Guide

Across the Origin System, groups known as Syndicates clash and cooperate, maintaining a delicate power balance along the outskirts of the greater faction conflicts. These groups may be motivated by different beliefs, locations or intentions. However, what they all have in common is that they need your help, Tenno!

In this guide, we'll introduce you to Syndicates, how to access them, and the incredible rewards you can earn by pledging your allegiance to one or more Syndicates and raising your Standing.

What are Syndicates?

Across the over 15 Syndicates that are currently in the Origin System, there are two distinct types: Factions and Neutral Syndicates. The difference between the two is that anyone can perform tasks for Neutral Syndicates, such as the Holdfasts on the Zariman Ten Zero, without restriction. Whereas Faction Syndicates require you to make a choice.

There are six Faction Syndicates in Warframe — each with unique values and goals.

  • Steel Meridian

  • Arbiters of Hexis

  • Cephalon Suda

  • The Perrin Sequence

  • Red Veil

  • New Loka

Starting at Mastery Rank 3, you can pledge yourself to one Faction Syndicate at a time. When you do, part of the Affinity you earn in Missions by defeating enemies goes towards increasing your Standing with that Syndicate. Earning enough Standing will eventually allow you to rank up, which unlocks new Rewards and items for purchase with Standing.

You can also gain Standing by completing Syndicate Alerts, which award extra standing upon completion and feature items called Syndicate Medallions. You can pick up these special items and donate them to their matching Syndicate to earn even more Standing.

Note that you can only earn a limited amount of Standing with each Syndicate every 24 hours. This daily Standing cap is determined by your Mastery Rank, so if you want to earn more Standing, you have to raise that rank!

Faction Syndicates also have their own opinions of one another. When you Pledge to raise your Standing with one, you will lose Standing with whomever they have marked as hostile. Faction Syndicates can have one of three relationships with each other: Allied, Opposed or Enemy.

When you earn Standing with your main Syndicate, its Allied faction will also award you with 50% of that total Standing. Syndicates marked as Opposed work exactly the opposite. You will actually accrue negative Standing with these factions — losing 50% of the Standing you earn with your chosen Faction per day. Enemies are even more extreme. With them, you will lose 100% of your total Standing as you play.

For example, if you pledge yourself to Red Veil and earn 1,000 standing, you will also gain 500 Standing with Steel Meridian (their Allied faction). You will then lose 500 Standing with Cephalon Suda (Red Veil's Opposed faction) and 1,000 Standing with the Arbiters of Hexis (their Enemy faction).

Incurring negative Standing for long enough can even result in negative Ranks with a given Faction, meaning you'll have to earn even more Standing to rank up with those Syndicates if you choose to join them later. Negative Standing is capped at -44,000 (or two negative Ranks) so you can always still work your way back up again eventually.

The other kind of Syndicates are Neutral Syndicates. Neutral Syndicates are not affected by gaining or losing Standing with Faction Syndicates. They also have their own Standing caps, rewards and methods for earning Standing — such as completing open world bounties.

Examples of Neutral Syndicates include the following:

  • The Ostrons

  • The Quills

  • Solaris United

  • Vox Solaris

  • The Ventkids

  • The Entrati Family

  • Necraloid

  • The Cavia

  • The Holdfasts

  • Cephalon Simaris

  • Conclave

  • The Hex

Where to Find Syndicates?

Every Syndicate you have unlocked can be accessed from the Syndicates Terminal in the Orbiter. This will even allow you to fast travel to any Syndicate by selecting their icon and pressing the Visit button that appears!

If you just need to check your Rank, amount of Standing, or daily Standing cap, you can also do so at any time by opening the pause menu, selecting Show Profile, and selecting Syndicates.

You can also meet with each of the six Faction Syndicates in their own rooms on any Relay!

Neutral Syndicates like the Ostrons or Solaris United can be found in dedicated hubs like Cetus or Fortuna. You'll have to progress through Warframe's Quests and Star Chart in order to access all the Syndicates available to you. But it's totally worth it, Tenno! There are some incredible rewards you can get for Ranking up with Syndicates.

What Do You Get?

Ranking up and earning Standing with Syndicates can lead to some incredible rewards like Weapons, Warframe Augment Mods and much more! The very best rewards are locked behind the highest Ranks and represent the core values of that Syndicate.

For example by reaching the highest Rank with the New Loka Syndicate, you can get the Sancti Tigris: an enhanced version of the devastating Tigris shotgun with an additional Purity effect. Purity (and other Syndicate Weapon buffs) triggers whenever you gain 1,000 Affinity with that Syndicate Weapon. Purity increases your Warframe's base health and provides a healing effect, but other Syndicate Weapons provide different buffs!

You can purchase these items by spending Standing — the very same Standing you use to rank up. Thus, it may be wise to fully rank up with a given Syndicate before you start buying. That way you can rank up as quickly as possible. The choice is yours, however, and you're always welcome to purchase what you need as you need it.

There are so many different offerings that Syndicates can provide. Make sure to get out there and explore your options to get the best rewards for your playstyle, Tenno!

We hope this guide has given you a better sense of how Syndicates work in Warframe. Now start growing your Standing with Syndicates across the Origin System and unlock some incredible rewards today!
