When last we searched for the elusive Red Text Writer we left the investigation in your hands, Tenno. Four potentially-guilty individuals were selected using critical analysis of their skills, personality, and likeliness that they would abuse the unlimited power that Red Text grants. Unfortunately we were only able to dedicate so many resources to this task, which meant our time following a suspect had to be spent as efficiently as possible.

Rebecca, Pat, Steve, and Randall were put on the spot and with a resounding 1103 out of 2397 total votes you all decided that Red Sweater Randall was the guilty party. Or at the very least, was the guiltiest of the bunch.

Patiently we waited for our update to deploy, watching Randall carefully for any signs of Red Text mischief. Anything from rehearsing terrible puns to making any suspicious movements near a keyboard and we would finally have our culprit. Unfortunately, it looks like while Red Sweater Randall is a pretty suspicious looking guy he may not be as guilty as our voters think.

It appears at the time Red Text was broadcast Randall was nowhere near a keyboard. We were concerned that he was perhaps using a mobile device or futuristic techno-hologram to generate terrible puns, but upon closer inspection...

Well, let’s just say this investigation is closed. For now.
